SEASCAPES
The sea, how dramatic it is to experience, but how disappointing are the casual snapshots. Perhaps this is because our attention is drawn to the movement of the waves, but a static image does not reveal that movement and there is nothing to draw our attention. The sea looks small and insignificant in most snapshots. The images in this portfolio are my attempt at showing the drama and dynamic nature of the sea in a single static image. It's no small task as any artist who has worked on a seascape can tell you. |
