My favorite question at show openings is,

"What catches your eye?"

The answer, especially when the show has a great variety of works, reveals the responder's general cognitive style as well as her artistic vision. It's as though we're in a room full of tuning forks and my companion is emitting a pure tone that can only be 'heard' by the works in the room. Seeing which works resonate defines that person's vision and style.

In a similar fashion, the works in a juried show define the vision and style of the juror. Look at the show as a whole and you have a clear vision of that juror's cognitive makeup.

The same goes for an artist's selection of works for a one man show. The selected works, taken as a whole, show who the artist is and how he sees himself.

Here I present a selection of my works. The collection undoubtedly reveals my artistic vision and cognitive style better than any words I could write.
